Awww...look at the new baby kitty!

Hey...somethings fishy with this new kitty! First off...I know Mommy would NEVER bring a baby kitty into this house. Second...this black kitty is laying on a light colored blankie and there appears to be no shedding going on. What's that?!?....Ohhhhhhhhhhh...Mommy just informed me this isn't a baby kitty...it's a baby named Kady dressed up like a baby kitty. Boy, say that fast 5 times!

Baby Kitty Kady is the granddaughter of Mommy's friend, Teresa. I would like to thank Kady for dressing up for Halloween so that this year Mommy didn't humiliate ME with a costume!

Happy Halloween, everyone! Now where's my candy!?!?!?

OMG! Hasn't this family suffered enough???

First...we have to endure losing Quincy...then, the fridge died...and now we find out that Mommy's beloved Dallas Clark has an injury and is out for the season. Seriously...what is going on?!?!?!? Mommy just got done crying her eyes out over Quincy...now she has a whole new reason to lay on the floor screaming like a 2 year old having a temper tantrum. Daddy is trying everything he can think of to soothe her pain...he's even going out to get pizza tonight, hoping that will cheer her up a little. It's touch and go around here, people...Mommy could snap at any moment!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will miss you, Bubby

Last night Quincy lost his 2 month battle with *#%)#($*)@(#@!!~! cancer. (Mommy gave me special permission to use bad language in my post today due to special circumstances!) Mommy is a wreck so we might need to order a case of Kleenex to be delivered.

Mommy told me the story of how Quincy got here. He was a foster dog back in 2003 and when Mommy got him, he weighed about 13 pounds and had horrible heartworm. He was skinny because he had hookworms. It wasn't long before they knew they had to adopt him. Quincy has always been the snuggly Momma's boy, so now that he's gone maybe I can finally get my well-deserved lap time! I got some last night cuz I saw Mommy crying so I went to her and told her I was sorry she was so sad so I got lots of lovies. I was a little soggy afterwards but it was worth it.

Things are sad around here, but we're all doing OK. All of you are pet lovers and know what we are going through. Thanks for thinking of us.

We must be the cleanest house on the block!

First it's me getting lots of baths, then Quincy started having to have baths cuz his tumor makes him drool so he's been kinda stinky lately...then Emma had to get her foot washed cuz she stepped in something icky out in the back yard...and now the new bird is even taking baths! The crazy thing is, Mommy puts a dish on the floor full of water and the bird hops right in and starts splashing around. What is up with that???? I swear, I will never understand some of the things that go on around here!!!

Tomorrow the bird goes to the vet. Bloodwork will be taken so we can find out if she's really a she or not!

Jillian got a job!

Mommy worked from home today and Jillian decided that she wanted to be Mommy's assistant. She helped hold all the papers down, make sure Mommy's hands didn't get cold, she made sure the caps to the pens got lots of activity, she sampled Mommy's lunch, and she took a nap cuz she was working soooooooooo hard. We'll just see if Mommy remembers all the help she got when Secretary's Day comes around!

Why didn't we get one???

Mommy went to the pound last night with Rhonda. I know this cuz she came home smelling like all kinds of strange animals. The pesky beagles were on to her immediately!!!!!!!! I don't see any new sexy boy kitties hanging around, so I take it that Mommy came home empty handed. I heard that Rhonda pulled a sexy man, tho. Maybe I'll have to sneak over to her house to check out the newbie! Mommy says we can't get any new fosters because Quincy is so sick...but I'm doing my best to convince her. When Mommy is at work, I'm in the living room trying to teach the new bird to say stuff like "we need more cats"...but so far she's not cooperating. At least all of Mommy's teams did well this weekend so Dixie didn't learn any bad words.

Well...at least it's not a pesky beagle!

It's a Quaker! Mommy and Daddy have adopted a bird from a birdy rescue. They had to get approved and have a home visit and everything, just like when Mommy adopts out dogs. All us kids were on our best behavior....except for Abby who tried to eat the 3 yr old little boy that came along on the home visit. Mommy would have had a hard time explaining that to the police!

These kinds of birds are rumored to be loud...but Mommy says that's what everyone says about beagles, too...and she proves them wrong. The biggest problem is that Quakers can learn to talk and Daddy says that Mommy is going to have to put duct tape over her mouth when we watch football or else the birds first word will be "#@$#&*$!@&%!"

The rescue lady thinks the bird is a girl, but nobody knows for sure so I suspect a vet visit with a blood test is in the near future. The current name is Dixie, but Mommy says if it's really a boy, he shouldn't have to go through life with a girls name. Dixie is probably 6-8 years old and she's had a rough life so far. This is at least the 5th place she's called home, including 2 foster homes. The last home that had her let other birds beat her up and she's missing a few toes. She gets around OK but her cage has a few flat perches so she can rest if her feet get tired. She's settling in fine and already had some food and played with her bell toy.

Mommy also says I have to say "GO SPARTANS!!!"...even tho I don't even know what that means.

Someone didn't take their happy pills....

This is Sunny...otherwise know as the "cranky old geezer". Some of you may remember him from the Wyandotte pound when Mommy pulled him as a foster in January 2008. He was a senior, but alot of people were interested in him. Three people came to the house to meet him but he never got adopted. Mommy says it's because of the same face he's making in this photo! That's the reason he got adopted by Mommy and Daddy. He lived in Tennessee with Daddy and now that he's back, he's crankier than ever. He loved being the only cat for a year. He's also learned to be very demanding with his canned food and bowls of water in the sink. Daddy clearly spoiled him!!

Mommy says we're getting a surprise tomorrow...we don't know what it is but I'll be sure to write all about it when it happens!

Where's the rubber ducky?

Mommy is home. Everyone got hugs and kisses upon her return...I got a bath! Speaking of baths...rumor has it my buddy in Indiana, Winston Beagle, is getting lots of baths these days. Guess he was getting in trouble digging in the garden and wound up with a case of ringworm. EWWWWWWWWWWWW.....Cooties!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear that, Winston, but for once I take comfort in knowing someone is getting more baths than I am!

What the heck is up with those Colts, Winston? The bad language is flying around here! I'm spending most Sundays hiding under the bed with my paws over my ears. And if that's not bad enough, Mommy was also mad that Kurt Warner spent the first episode of Dancing with the Stars showing off his SEVEN kids and kissing his wife. Mommy has officially given him up!! Those of you who know her are aware of just now much Mommy LOVES kids...so knowing Kurt has seven of them pushed her over the edge. She didn't even make it to watching the 2nd episode of the show! Sorry, Kurt.
