It's the Double-Mint twins!

Ok so maybe it's more like the Double-Catnip twins...but you gotta admit, they do look alike. Sunny is on the left, Binky on the right. Both guys love laying on the island but they do NOT like each other...as is sort of obvious as both of them are on it, but staying as far away from each other as they can without falling off. Sunny is 15...he was from the Wyandotte pound back in 2008 and was apparently so evil to anyone who came to see him that he got to stay here forever. He was in Tennessee living with Daddy. Now he's home and all he does is complain all day long...demanding fresh, cold water in the bowl, canned food, to be brushed...Mommy says if cats can be Metro-Sexuals that Sunny definitely is one!

As for Binky, he's looking for a new home and would prefer one without a crabby old cat who refuses to play. He really misses Casey. Those two use to tear it up around here. We used to hear the running and then the thud as one got thrown to the ground. Now all we hear are the sounds of Sunny screaming like a girl if Binky even thinks about chasing him.

We lost a local celebrity today.

Remember when I lived downstairs and I had 2 bunnies for neighbors? Well, Alvin went to the Rainbow Bridge today. Recently his potty habits had gotten so bad that Mommy said he was a bigger mess than I ever was! (that's pretty bad!) The vet checked him out and said that he had bad arthritis in his back legs and he wasn't able to lift his rear end high enough to go potty without making a big mess. He was 7 1/2 years old which is pretty good for a bunny. He'd been living here since 2004. Rumor has it that he's bitten alot of pesky beagles over the years so he was kind of my hero.

We call him our local celebrity because this photo was featured in a book called "Hopeful Tails" back in 2007. That year Mommy bought a copy for just about everyone on her Christmas list.

Too bad I wasn't here in 2007 cuz I could have filled a book like that just with cute pictures of me! There could have been an entire chapter about my bowl collection. We are all very sad that Alvin is gone, but Jillian and I are just waiting for Lehana to hog the computer so she can go on Petfinder and look for a new husbun. I'm sure she's going to miss having someone to snuggle with and groom behind her ears.

I would just like to point out that while I was, once again, caught laying on the sofa....look who's using my backside for a pillow! Apparently she forgot that we're supposed to be at war! I am SOOOOOOO not inviting her to my party!

PS...Today is Josh's birthday. He used to work with Mommy but now he lives in Florida and plays golf all day. Mommy says she doesn't know why anyone would want to spend every waking moment playing golf, but then she says his girlfriend is a vet so he must have some smarts in that head of his! Anyway, Happy Birthday, Josh! Oh..and have you seen Honey? ...She ain't nothin' but a hound dog...crying all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't Casey look like he's having a great time at his new house?? I see TWO catnip toys there...and a cute gray kitty watching him. That must be his new sister, Opal. I'm sure glad he's being a good boy and fitting in well. I miss him cuz he was so handsome...but knowing Mommy...it won't take her long to snag another kitty for me and Jillian to fall in love with.

Now..down to important business. Mommy says she's willing to have a party for my one year anniversary of getting sprung from the pound...but she needs feedback from the folks who would like to come so she knows when is a good day to have it. She's trying to figure out what time of day or what day is the best...so feel free to send her an email if you have any suggestions or preferences! I don't know why I'm even excited. I know there will be cake...but I also know that she won't be letting me have any of it! What the heck kind of party is it when the guest of honor can't even eat her own cake? "Happy Anniversary, Kinzi! Here's some kibble!" Pa-leeeze!

Look how BIG this bowl is!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Emma's bowl...she's one of those pesky beagles. Notice that it's almost big enough for me to take a bath in...Awwwwwwww crap...I shouldn't have said the B word...now Mommy's gonna want to give me one.

Tomorrow is pottery painting day for Mommy and her friend, Rhonda. You remember Rhonda?? She and her daughter, Sara, are the ones that kidnapped my sweet Loki so he never came to live here. Anyway...I'm really hoping I get a new bowl...maybe even one as big as this. Although I'd be even more depressed over dinner if my few pieces of kibble didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl. At least when I get dinner in my tiny bowls it gives the optical illusion of being a decent sized meal. ...seriously...when is someone willing to feed me going to adopt me??????

Well...at least my butt is shrinking...although at a disproportionate rate compared to the rest of me. I better lay off the Thigh-Master for a while until my belly catches up!

Is it Friday yet???

We all need a vacation! First, while Mommy and Daddy were camping, the water pump in the camper broke. Then when they got home yesterday, they found Abby, one of the beagles, not doing well at all. She was really sick and had a fever. Today she's fine...so we all figure she was just trying to sucker Daddy out of more cookies. Another bad thing that happened when they got home last night...the computer had another virus! I swear I wasn't on-line shopping for boy kitties while they were gone...really I wasn't! I bet it was that Honey...she was probably shopping for snacks and gear she can use to break into my room.

So Abby is fine, Daddy took the water pump out of the camper and will get a new one, and my computer is working again. Life is good here!

PS...rumor has it that Mommy is going to paint pottery this weekend!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I hope I get a new bowl!
