This is a joke, right?

So a few weeks ago Mommy went to paint food bowls for me and that pesky beagle, Honey. CLEARLY there has been some sort of a mistake. Was my bowl made out of pottery???...or out of Shrinky-Dink material?? I know this can't be right!!!!!!!!

Mommy says that all the diet books say you should eat your meals off smaller plates so you get the illusion of having a bigger meal than you're really getting. If she thinks that this tiny bowl is going to disguise the fact that she's slowly starving me to death, she's got another thing coming!!!!!!!!!! It may be time for me to place another complaint to the ASPCA...although they never return my calls...

Now about this egg recall issue...

I've told you all that Mommy is silly and that she comes up with some ridiculous ideas. You want to hear her newest one? Well...you know how all these eggs are getting recalled because they're dangerous if you eat them? Mommy laughs at stuff like this cuz she doesn't eat eggs...but...her idea is that Cadbury should bring back the Cadbury chocolate egg and everyone should eat those instead!!!!!!!!!!! She says that as far as she knows, nobody ever got salmonella or any other kind of cooties from eating that kind of egg. She may be on to something here...but I don't think they'd make a very good omelet.

Apparently I type too slow!

Jillian wanted to help me do today's blog entry, but she got sleepy waiting for me to decide what to write about and took a nap. She lays here all the time and pesters Mommy and Daddy when they use the computer. She spent most of today on the bed sleeping so I don't know why she needs ANOTHER nap. She says it's hard work being so cute all the time. I don't get that...cuz I find it quite easy to be adorable all the time!

OMG! How could I forget to tell you????

STARSKY IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't he dreamy??? He came into my room and slept in the cat tree for a while. Jillian was soooooooooo jealous! I told her that Starsky is a big boy and there's enough of him for us to share.

I guess with all the drama of Honey's surgery I forgot to tell you he was here! It's so unlike me to be more concerned about Honey than my own love life. What the heck is wrong with me these days? Honey is fine by the way...she's not even acting like she has 5 huge gashes on her stomach. Then again, I think even if she had all four legs in casts she'd still find a way to follow Mommy around the house and jump in the bed.

one, two, three, four, FIVE little tumors!

Honey had her surgery today and she's doing great. The vet found an extra one so she had a total of five more removed. Mommy called the vet to check on her and the lady who answered the phone said "She's fine...can't you hear her? Couldn't you hear her before you even called???" ..so I guess that means Honey was doing a wee bit of howling. We knew she didn't like to be crated...but I guess if you don't let her eat breakfast AND you crate her AND make her spend a day away from her beloved Mommy...AND you do surgery on her...well, of course she's going to howl all day. We know to expect it from Honey around here. Daddy complains all the time that Honey whines if Mommy goes anywhere.

One interesting thing that happened today was that someone broke into my room and made a big mess. Honey is always getting blamed for it, but she wasn't even here today so obviously it wasn't her! I was taking a nap on the sofa so I didn't see who did it, otherwise you know me, I'd be the first one to be naming names and pointing paws! I think we need a video surveillance camera!

Everyone grab your pencils!

Let's play CONNECT THE DOTS on Honey's belly! Mommy circled the tumors she found and Honey looks pretty silly! Good thing for her it's not the weekend she needed to be in her bikini! Actually, when I first saw Honey's belly, I thought Mommy had been jotting down football plays from all the games she watched last weekend...but then I remembered that Honey is having her surgery. I did think it was kind of weird that Mommy would use Honey's belly instead of paper if she were going to do something like that...but Mommy has been known to do some silly stuff! At least it's still just pre-season. The bad language and throwing stuff at the TV hasn't started yet!

I guess there's a delay in me getting my new food bowl. Mommy said that Honey's bowl had to stay at the pottery place to get another coat of glaze put on. The only glaze I know about goes on donuts, not pottery, so that really makes no sense to me. All I know is that I hafta wait until next weekend to get my bowl just cuz Honey has to wait for hers. Hmph...!

Tuesday is the big day!!!

I overheard Mommy say something about snagging a new kitty from the pound tomorrow! I sure hope it's that big, chunky monkey, Starsky! Everyone keep your paws crossed! Tomorrow is also when Mommy goes to pick up the food bowls she painted last week...I sure hope mine is nice and big like the one Emma has!

PS...I'm being nice to Honey this week 'cuz she goes on Wednesday to get 4 more mammary tumors removed. Poor kid...I know I've had a rough year with lots of baths and stuff...but I never had to have my belly cut open...and she's going to have had it done TWICE! Yikes! So...ummm...if anyone wants to send Honey a basket of Get Well cookies, I'll make sure she gets them!!!
